Don’t let your bleeding disorder get in the way of a good time. With a little advanced planning and help from ARJ Infusion Services, you’re free to focus on the fun of your travels!
As you begin planning your trip, be sure to let your Patient Services Representative or an ARJ care team member know you’re going out of town. We’ll make sure you have the supplies and medications you need, along with important phone numbers in case of an emergency.
Plan for scheduled infusions.
If you’re comfortable with self-infusion, we’ll arrange to have medication and supplies delivered directly to you.
Call ahead regarding special accommodations.
Contact your hotel or campground to make sure you’ll have access to a refrigerator. Not sure what else you may need? A Patient Services Representative will help guide you with safe infusions in a unfamiliar place.
Check airline restrictions.
TSA allows passengers to bring essential medications and supplies in carry-on luggage. Be sure to review the most recent policies before you pack.
Gather your essentials and store them in a secure location for easy access on your way out the door. Before leaving, do a quick check:
- Scan the contents of your checklist to replace unused supplies and ensure your medication is not past its expiration date.
- Review your list of medications, dosages, allergies, and emergency contacts to make sure the information is accurate and up to date.
- Find the nearest hospital near your hotel if you require urgent care. ARJ clinicians will work with hospital staff to provide necessary information.
No matter where you go, ARJ has your passport to traveling safely!
